This is a Shakespearean sonnet about disappointment in oneself.
I can't believe I just did it again
It happened to me again and it sucks
I just needed a little more to win
You see? Now I'll never make the big bucks

I tried so hard, so foul, and now it's done
Oh, will the world be done, and not so cold?
The race I started on was barely won
Oh, who would ever want to be so bold?

My desk is emptied, now I can be free
Though with nowhere to go, and soon I wane
They left me just enough to smoke a tree
Now permit me this legal Mary Jane

I may never see how my life unfolds
At least I'll never be when I grow old
