This a poem I wrote when I had a bad day with body image
I wish to love me the way you love me.
I want to see me through your eyes.
Might I borrow your sight to look at me?

I wish to love me the way you love me.
I want to feel the way you feel for me.
Might I borrow your heart to feel that?

Alas, that is not how it goes.
I shall love you the way you love me then.
See you the way you see me.
Feel for you the way you feel for me.
Only then shall I know.
