Every life has moments that affects what happens after
The Moment

Talking about music
With Simon and Garfunkel playing
And books - she was reading Jane Austin
I was reading Larry Niven
We were light years apart there.
But it didn’t matter.
We were side by side on the couch
She said something being done for a reaction
“I know how to get a reaction,”
I said and leaned over and kissed her
It was a long intense kiss.
The moment she was more than a friend
What I wanted her to be.
What followed in time
Was 49 years of love
Together through all Life threw at us
Soulmate, lover, wife,
A lifetime of other moments
Almost as beautiful as the first.
