Just a poem I wrote a while ago.
I can't quite say I'm struggling
Because life's really not that bad
I have food, a roof
A loving mom and dad

"Treat people with kindness,
because we're all the same"
But I think that she would pray for me
If she saw my username

And I can't quite say I'm struggling
Because life's really not that bad
I have food, a roof,
A loving mom and dad

"My love is unconditional,
I'm here for you no matter what"
But I think he'd tell her my confessions,
Because he cares too much

And I can't quite say I'm struggling
Because life's really not that bad
I have food, a roof,
A loving mom and dad

"My metabolism was fast too,
yours will slow with age"
But I refuse to think that she means,
To nurture my fear of weight

And I can't quite say I'm struggling
Because life's really not that bad
I have food, a roof,
A loving mom and dad

"It's not y'alls fault in any way,
some things simply aren't meant to be"
But some days the strain of two sides
Makes it hard to breathe

And I can't quite say I'm struggling
Because life's really not that bad
I have food, a roof,
A loving mom and dad
