A shiny poem
Mythical merfolk, lads and ladies,
Glide and glisten in the depths of Hades.

The unseen scene we humans can't fathom,
Not party to parties in water's fair kingdom

Yet they too curious come to the shore.
You glimpse a tail on the surface, no more.

But such curiosities make candlelight tales
And keep myth alive, "twas not a whale!"
