a poem in answer to a prompt
Prompt: “Peering from some high window, at the gold of November sunset and feeling that if day has to become night, this is a beautiful way.”
E. E. Cummings

Let this quote inspire your blog entry about a November sunset.

Why
“ Are the leaves golden? “
“To enrich the soil later.”
“Then why
Are those leaves red?”
They were bitten.
by Jack Frost.

I and Mother Nature
roamed the earth it’s true
I asked her, why in November
She changes the greenish hue.
She said I must remember.
That changing is here to stay
And the colors are to remind us
That winter is on it’s way.
Then I asked about the
sunsets, and how it came to be
that each setting in November
sends chilling thrills through me.
She said “That is for your pleasure.
for the closing of a day
every eye can see the grandeur
in the skyline on display."
