A poem I wrote a few years ago that I am still quite proud of.
Charming is the one that sings,
A glorious melody of glee.
When knowing sadness of a great degree,
They still carry themselves like a king.
And when life’s troubles it brings,
They rejoice with jubilee,
For they shape their own reality;
It is to courage they cling.

But one small push is what is might take,
For the frail façade to fall;
When it does, the world comes crashing down.
So be careful with your heartache,
Friend, do not ignore its call.
As those who know balance shall wear a crown.
