Victim of Changes

Part 1: A Touch of Evil

I watch in silence as he leaves
vanishing into the night
as softly as he came
taking nothing save
my innocence
and leaving
only
pain


Part 2: Painkiller

time
brings change
I watch them
play on the lawn
laughter in the air
not a care in the world
and they look so much like me
why must they have their father's eyes?
