A poem dedicated to the love of my life.
That old, knobby cardigan
Is still my favorite sweater
It holds all my memories, some tears, many memories

Most are memories of you
Tangled up in how we got where we are now
Wishing for forgiveness

Do second chances ever come in the same lifetime?
Or do we wait until we come back from the dust of death?
Is there a time to right our wrongs while we are breathing?

I miss you still, after all has been said and done
I thought I would know you forever
While my heart has healed, my head will never let me forget
