A poem about an unattainable love
GAZE

A minuscule tick of a moment.
Left us with this torment.

Voice is like honey jar gently blowing
and cast of whiskered knowing.

Vivid visions of northern lights.
Eyes astound with fanciful midnights.

Chiseled, by an artist enraptured by his stone.
Mild in essence, he also does hone.

Secrets of the chemistry.
He is my chosen ministry.

Alas, not a single person insighted.
There will be no us united.

He fills my swimming mind with ration.
Deep and abating murmurs of passion.

No time to last--
The twinkles are fleeting, oh so fast.

The fever flows out through every single pore.
Wafts of sleep amore.

Bestow upon us what cannot be ours.
We are not decked with these ivory, veiled powers.

One lone, allusive, evocative gaze.
Some day will splinter this melancholy maze.
