Poetry ...about Irony
As I sat on the shoulders of man
Who killed a man
With his bare hands
And the cool breeze from the sea
Blew through my hair...

And off in the distance
tho maybe wishful thinking
A Whale rose into the air
And as it splashed down
My heart held his space
In a forever memory
That maybe never was...

Life is like an upward
Spiral staircase
And it was the man's burden to bear
He held me on his shoulders
And we climbed closer and closer
To the promise that was
Never there...

The days get longer
As I grow older
And the memory does grow stronger
Of the comfort I felt as a child
Riding on the shoulders of a murderer...
