A freestyle poem about true friendship
I love the way you
refuse to tip toe around my
delicate, disastrous being
Always happy to
tell me what I wish I never had to hear
the things I need to hear
in order to grow and be real
To sweep up the eggshells
to break down the walls and towers
to hold a mirror, delicately bulletproof
to show me that little girl that
used to smile and see the
silver linings
What a gift you are, unwanted at times
but always grateful in the end
I hope I have you until the end..
The end of this season and all
the seasons this life will allow me
