A poem I wrote for school a year ago about joining a cult
Any signs of you were wrong
Upside-down views plagued them
Run, run, they’ve run out of themselves
Obey, pretend to, they’ll see fit of you
Run-down words of life, all lies
All they knew were what they wanted to know

Most days it had sunk in
Over logic, over your past
Remember their tales of distorted promises?
Grown up, you’ve given yourself to them
Above your past yet?
Now look at you
