A dream, feeling the emptiness that becomes reality.
Looking back in the distance,
your casket sits above the ground.
Mom and I standing on the hillside,
tears down our face, no one around.

I look up at mom, as if I was still a child,
in hopes a car would drive into the gates,
not understanding why nobody was coming,
to help us face what awaits.

The emptiness I now feel,
brokenness and pain in my heart,
mom said son lets go,
and give Raymond a new start.

A start of a new life,
no more pain you shall feel,
the struggles of life you went through,
Only for God to heal.

Walking towards the casket,
that still sits above the ground,
my dream came to an ending,
empty, I laid in bed, with nobody around.
