Long Lost Night
Long Lost Night

After a long lost night
Drinking in the Cosmos Bar,
Sam Adam found himself
Alone in a strange room
Not sure how he got there.

He is woken
As a dog barked
He goes outside.

Seeing the salt was tipped over
and an empty bird feeder
the sound of wind chimes
wakes up his partner
For the night.

He goes outside
The mailbox was full
He brings in the mail.

Then brews up
His daily cup
Of sarcastic, snarling, smarmy.
Cup of coffee.

Contemplating the dawning day
With a monster hangover.

Gives her a cup of coffee
Wondering what her name was.
