I have been a faithful watcher of SNL for 30 years. Quality has had its ups and downs but this year is a new low.
Aside from the middle school skit level of the relentless and lazy political, (nearly all directed negatively at conservatives), skits of shallow thoughtless jokes, this last airing on March 2, 2024 was completely empty of any laughs whatsoever.
One uninspired premise after another, with not a single laugh to be found.
Where are the comedy writers of today? Definitely not at SNL. The cast seems capable of much more but the material is just grim.
