A poem simply comparing myself to Apollo in a negative way :))
Fun fact #1: I wrote this the same day as Too Much of Too Little, another poem I did! I was in a sad but writing mood :))

Fun fact #2: I love mythology, which will be way more apparent in later poems.

Enjoy!
---- ---- ---- ----
A pattern repeated often,
         Often enough to be wary,
Never enough to stay aware,
And everytime, it ends the same.

With all my being, I know I am cursed.
Apollo’s Curse is what I name it.

Stricken with a Gold arrow through my heart,
Cupid then strikes ‘em with a Lead arrow.
They transform themselves into laurels, hyacinths, cypresses,
Or flinging themselves into the wine-dark sea.

Slowly, it’s getting harder to love,
To get my heart to beat, even for myself.

Apollo’s Curse, that accursed love,
Excruciating jinx, a heartbreaking hex,
So many words to say, to think!
Never allowed to be uttered aloud.
