In just a minute I can sit down
Write down a little rhyme
Oh no, but first I frown
I have to clean away this grime

The bills need paying
The shower is broken
I have not done the cooking
About my taxes, I have not spoken

I have to feed those lovely birds
The floor's a mess and needs a clean
I do not have time to write my words
Work just called, my boss is mean

Maybe tomorrow I can write
About emotions undigested
About what brought me to this plight
Maybe after I have rested
