Poem about my granddaughter

Quick as a mouse on those knees she flies .
A heavenly angel above is in your eyes.
A smile that makes your heart skip a beat.
Cant wait to hear the patter of your feet.

You have grown so much in your first year of life.
Time flies by pierces my heart like a knife.
I look forward to guiding you on life’s path.
Teaching you things like reading and math.

I want to be there for your highs and lows.
Making you pretty with ribbons and bows .
When I became a mother thought my life was complete.
But having a granddaughter nothing can compete.
