The Wise Carpenter
Tom was a young carpenter who was frustrated with his work.Every time he built something, it would come out flawed. He complained to Mr. Smith, an older carpenter known for his skill.Experience comes with time and mistakes,” Mr. Smith advised.Tom shrugged off the advice and continued to get frustrated with each failed attempt. One day, Mr. Smith gave Tom a simple task: to hammer a nail into a piece of wood.Tom tried and bent the nail.Observe,” Mr. Smith said, and effortlessly drove the nail straight in.You see, the hammer is an extension of you. Calm yourself, and the hammer will follow,” he said.Tom tried again, this time breathing deeply and focusing. The nail went in straight.Your work is a reflection of your inner state. If you are frustrated, your work will show it,” Mr. Smith explained.Tom took this lesson to heart and became one of the finest carpenters in town.Themoral of the story is that your mindset affects the quality of your work
