this is a poem told from the other perspective of my poem Weed
A yellow as a morning sky
as velvet as an open sea
Every time I fall apart
you take a little piece of me

My petals are all droopy
I'm too tired to stand
laying on the open grass

I'm growing on your land
I don't know how long i'll last

maybe I'll pass
maybe I'll stay
but here right now I have
only the day

I know you're angry
with the shriveled pieces of me
in your hand

I would leave
if you could just understand
who I am
