The pain was brief, but it did not come from the knife she drew....
Nobody wanted her, there was nothing to stop her
From doing what she was contemplating
She thought out her options, which would be quickest
She thought about how lonely her life had become
She wondered if anyone would care if she died tonight
She saw the way everyone looked at her, as if she were a freak
They looked at her in disgust, someone they could never trust
Why should her life even matter, it seemed so trivial
She slowly took the pills from the cabinet
She swallowed them all at once to ease her pain
She took the blade to make a mark, the one that would take her life
She cried in pain, though not from the knife
She cried because her life was pathetic
She just wanted it over, didn't want to feel the pain any longer
She dried her tears on her sleve and slowly drew the knife across her wrists
The pain was brief, it didn't even really hurt at all
The blood dripped to the floor but she didn't see it
The only thing she saw before complete darkness was her own refelction in the mirror
She was a mess, makeup streaming down her face
Her hair was in tangles but she didn't seem to care
All that mattered to her was that her pain would be gone, that's all she cared
No more tears shall come from her eyes
No more feeling is left inside
Her life is done, there's nothing beyond this place called earth
There's no heaven and there is no hell
The paramedics took her away the next morning
There was much commotion afterwards
See, there were people who cared, she just never realized
There's always love and always someone who cares what you do to yourself
Suicide is not the answer, it may not hurt you, but it will hurt someone
