The Shadows

they stand in the light looking into the shadows
are they afraid?
they glance, they point, they stare
but they do not make a sound
are they lost? or are they found?
it isn't fair.

alone in the shadows I walk
hearing the voices - people talk
I walk in the shadows, but am blinded by the light
of the things that I see
they always say that we are free
but in sight
do we really see?
