..even when surrounded, I am alone...
voices all around me, nothing to hear
living our lives, going through each year
never knowing where we're heading
even when it's good, each day i'm dreading
soon what's good gets turned around
often we wonder if we'll be found
knocked on our ass, stuck in a ditch
"This isn't my life...is there a glitch?"
"How could this happen? I meant the best"
"Am I alone? Or just like all the rest?"
speaking the words, for no one to hear
going each day, something new to fear
always more alone with each new thought
searching for comfort in what we're taught.
continually searching without knowing
endlessly wandering, blindly going.
