This is the way I feel sometimes.
The silence is unbearable.
We speak, but do not hear each other.
There is silence on the outside,
but on the inside it is hell.

In my head my soul is screaming,
Begging for its very life.
The silence between us is eating up my soul.
Tearing it to pieces while it's still alive.

Emptiness fills the void.
My soul is tired of the constant screaming.
Hear me, please just this once.
Let me tell you what I need.

There is no response.
And I cry.
I cry for the soul of humanity.
If we know not each others needs,
What hope is there for my soul?
