Projecting lively
mental snapshots
on to white erase board.

Should be watching....

Reciting mind poetry
at a fantasy
SLAM mic.

Should be listening....

Painting pen Picassos
on blue-lined
college ruled canvas.

Should be writing....

Seeing myself
run lunatic
across tops of desks
to crank
the clock faster.
Pinching at my skin
to stay in touch-
They say pain
can cloud out
anything.

Guess they've never
been this bored.
