Why?

Why is there this sadness,
This terror, this hate?
Why must I see it,
And hear it, and feel it?
When will it stop?
Oh when? Oh when!
Where is there peace,
And quiet, and joy?
Who will come and help us,
With love, and with mercy?
How long will this last?
This hate, and this war?
Help us please!
Stop this war!
And bring us love!
And bring us peace!
