Writer's Cramp contest using a Pantoum form with diamonds as the theme.
I look upon my withered hands
where the diamonds used to be
I stare upon the antique stands
faded pictures call to me

where the diamonds used to be
I hide my hands from days gone by
faded pictures call to me
I turn away and wipe an eye

I hide my hands from days gone by
the pain cannot be hidden
I turn away and wipe an eye
the days gone by, forbidden

the pain cannot be hidden
my memories, I can’t relive
the days gone by, forbidden
my diamonds, I would gladly give

my memories, I can’t relive
I would trade most anything
my diamonds, I would gladly give
to only you, my heart does ring

I would trade most anything
I stare upon the antique stands
to only you, my heart does ring
I look upon my withered hands
