A sleigh ride gone bad. poetry.
Broken bells on a harness of gold
Lie unattended in a field of snow
A crimson ribbon flutters feebly
As the winter wind sings its song of ice

Velvet cushions sprawl under shade
Rent and torn 'round a fir
The lonely wind continues its dirge
As crestfallen snowflakes settle below

Along the trail a jagged dark
Rises sharply against white silk
Wooden splinters and flecks of gold
Tell the tale. Tell the tale.
