what to do
when my world goes awry
when the monkey in the corner
is eating pumpkin pie
when the pigs from down the block
sprouted wings to fly
when the lady from next door
is actually a guy
and "her" kitty-cat's the one
who'll always tell me "hi"
i'll cover my eyes
pretend not to see
and sigh
because my world has gone awry
