Inspired by a homeless man at Walmart, holding a sign.
HOPE

I'm standing here,
Sad and alone,
I've lost my job,
I have no home.

My sign says, "Help, I'll
work for money,"
My family waits,
Cold and hungry.

I've been here hours,
For many days,
People won't look at me,
They turn away.

I've looked for work,
There isn't any,
Without an address,
They aren't hiring.

Maybe someone will stop today,
Give me a job,
So I can make some pay,
Feed my family and make their day.

All I need is a little help,
Not a handout,
Just some hope.
