A poem I wrote about what it feels like to have constant anxieties
Silent Scream

A shocking scarlet field, thick with
Fluttering
Moths
Darkening, giving in to midnight’s grasp
Fading to a graveyard, black and
freezing cold
Fear
Choking up, f id g e t i n g, tossing in
The prison of the darkened room.
Midnight.
The summer heat presses down and steals the light
A blown out light bulb
Scratching to be freed from the vinegar taste
Of worry
Until the morning mists
Arrive
And all is peaceful
Once again
At least
For
A Little
While.
