This is a poem I wrote to my husband about how lucky I am to have met him.
The moment you spoke I knew your name.
No awkward pauses, no tense moments.
Flowing conversation and flirtatious games.
The comfort of coming back home.

So have I told you?
That in the dark of the night my mind plays games
I tried to run away from you in the night.
Only to find that inside I was to blame.
You were the comfort in my darkened rain.

So have I told you?
When we found ourselves together at last,
all the battles ceased and grew quiet.
All the ghosts and haunts finally put in past.
I knew all I had inside was you.

So have I told you?
How lucky I am to have found you that day.
Blessed to know someone like you.
I never worry about the words I should say.
Only to touch your hand or your face.

So have I told you?
I long to spend my life with you.
How much I respect and trust you.
I am waiting to grow old with you.
I can’t live my life without you.

So have I told you?
