a poem about the girl who stole my heart
I stand before a creature of beauty

A women of pure heart and soul

her crimson hair blazes in the gentle light

a brilliantly shining star adorns her ivory neck

Her caring smile warms my soul

Her hazel eyes stares deep into my heart

seeing all that I have hidden

but I hide away, fearing the havoc she could wreak

I turn my heart to stone, ignoring the feelings I have

but one look from her

one caring gaze or gentle smile

warms my weakened and battered heart

she holds out her hand

inviting me inside

and a smile brightens my weary face, and I start to look forward to each new sunrise

and I dread the time we should part
