Arguments have their uses: this was born of one...
Who am I, the person in my heart?
The girl below the layers of pretence?
Who am I, and should I now part
With cruelty - my weapon and defence?

Who am I? The one hiding behind
The anger and the fury against you?
Just sorrow and pain, trapped in my mind –
And yet the love there still remains true!

Who am I? My sobs fall more heavy than the rain
But the thunderstone drowns out what little sound
I make - for the sorrow, love and pain
Are held back by bars, and pressed to the ground!
