A poem about the ever changing cliques in classes.
At the beginning, one united group.
Everyone belonged on the first day.
Slowly we separated, girls & boys.
Then into further cliques.

From day two, there was one who didn't belong.
Different from all, a loner in every way.
And picked on every day, once everyone realized.
From day two to today.

In the middle, all united, except one.
United in teasing and then in terror.
For the one they teased, soon fought back.
They didn't feel safe, for she was strong.

She pounced when it got to be to much.
They didn't fight, perhaps they were surprised.
She ruled their days and maybe their nights.
She got revenge, but it wasn't sweet.

One day she realized, she had to stop.
She couldn't continue like this.
It wasn't right. She must be stronger.
She must resist the urge. She finally stopped.

Slowly, they saw that she was changed.
She could take more, she didn't attack as much.
But when she did, LOOK OUT!
It was just one blow, but it really hurt.

The class stopped teasing her.
Occasionally, they still do.
But they let her into the group.
And only a few resist her inclusion.

Today the group is peaceful.
The bullying is far from their minds.
The urge/beast called Anger, lies dormant.
To awake only when his master is threatened.

The group has it's squabbles.
Sometimes, they fight and the beast stirs.
But its master doesn't call. So the beast quiets.
The group is once again united.
