Only you would think I was worthy of a star...
He gave me a star,
for all my life.
It wasn't a purchase,
for they have no price.

The clouds rolled in,
the sky lost its light.
We sat there and watched,
as my star, we lost sight.

The big dipper handle,
pointed it out.
We'll view it so often,
I haven't a doubt.

We're unable to now,
as he's going away.
We'll cherish the moment,
we're re-united someday.

We'll gaze upon,
the star that he chose.
It will heal us,
and, all of our woes.

He took me through orbit,
that wondrous night.
Even long after,
our star we lost sight.
