Do we know what lurks in the darkness? let me show you..
In the twilight my eyes are scarred
The light is crisp, but yet so black
For nothing can be seen, but yet
All there can be dismissed.

For as the sun returns to where
It lies while we must sleep, till when
It brings us back the glow of day
But light is always missed

For when the sun descends from view
And slips inside the horizon
It makes the world forget its beauty
And morbid things exist

The blackened streets contain much fright
For ghosts of smog emerge to lurk
Like wispy phantoms howling hence
And ice chill like a fist

The phantoms soar above the heads
And whoosh through desolate skies
Like patriots to the joys of night
They howl and whirl and twist.

And if you dare to ever look
Out of your blackened window, and see
These morbid fascinations dance
Until they feel sun’s kiss

You’ll see them play, as if like young
But age until they meet their grave
For mother sun destroys the horrors
Her light there to dismiss.
