Still a little scared of what my furture would hold after I got married.
Ring around my finger,
What do you hold for me?
Do you shadow who I am?
Or finally set me free?

Is everlasting love,
Lingering on my hand?
Is it possible to trust,
In a simple wedding band?

Does my future hold everything,
I've imagined that it would?
Could I have finally stumbled,
On to something good?

Where will you lead me?
Towards my hopes and dreams?
Or eventually will all of this,
Be ripped at the seams?

Is this a new beginning?
Or the beginning of the end?
Have I lost my own soul?
Or have I gained a friend?

Why must my fate,
Be dependent on this ring?
Will it burn my finger?
Or make my spirit sing?

Ring around my finger,
I smile when I see,
The love I truly have for him,
And all his love for me.

I have chosen to trust,
In this love that I have found.
I will not break my promise,
Now that I am bound.

I have conquered all my fears.
They are overcome with love.
Anticipation in my heart.
Trust in God above.

Ring around my finger,
May God protect my heart.
I belong to him now,
Until death do us part.
