This was written for a contest,

'Twas the night before my sixth Halloween.
The ghost and the goblins were practicing
their screams.

Miss Fiddlesticks was on her broom,
flying and giggling throughout the room,
swooping and diving all over the place.
I was sure she was going to fall on her face.

My cat spider was trying to sleep,
all curled up on his bed,
When Miss Fiddlesticks got her broom,
all caught up in his web.

The ghosts and the goblins let out a howl,
because it tickled them so,
to see Miss Fiddlesticks hanging by her
big fat ugly toes.

"Get off my web!" my cat spider said.
"You're messing up my nap, and how dare you,
come into my house,
and not know how to act!"

"Oh just hush! You creepy thing,
I don't want to be in your web.
I'm just trying out my new broom
before I go to bed."

"New broom!Old broom, doesn't matter much to me.
I just want to get some sleep
before Halloween, you see? The big day is
tomorrow, and I want things to be just right.
You can't be practising your flying, not here,
not tonight!
So if you want to fly around, Miss Fiddlesticks,I say. You better do it somewhere else.
Go find another place to play."

"Umph!" said Miss Fiddlesticks as she hung
upside down," My cat spider has an attitude,
that will make a smile a frown.
