A dark poem, intriguing and mysterious from end to beginning, that's right, backwards!
(Warning: This is a dark poem told from end to beginning.)

- - -

Sprawled on the ground,
blood on the pavement.
Suicide had seemed
like his last enclavement.

Flying through the air,
ground down below.
Irony had proven
it was just his time to go.

Lying in his bed,
crying through the night.
Damage he'd inflicted,
was coming to the light.

His car speeds off,
leaving something there.
A lifeless girl,
with long black hair.

The car hits the girl,
sending her above.
Forced to leave behind
everything she's loved.

He stares at the road,
driving way too fast.
He sees a green eye twinkle,
and then he feels a crash.

While he sits behind the wheel,
he brings the bottle to his lips.
Endangering him more,
with every little sip.

He slouches at the bar,
tears streaming from his eye.
He feels so depressed
as he drinks his whiskey dry.

He watches in reverse,
as the picture loses fire.
Revealing everything,
that causes all the ire.

In that picture was a girl,
who he had his arm around.
She had green eyes and long black hair...

That picture burned to the ground.
