Something I saw one, and was inspired to write about it. My best poem.
Here I lay in silence
Under a million stars,
Watching the Northern Lights
All my thoughts afar

Enjoying being alone
Nothing bad to bite,
I’m in another world
Without any sunlight

I suddenly look straight up
And I see a streak across the sky,
I call it a midnight rainbow
Although I don’t know why

I guess because there’s no beginning
And the end we’ll never find,
Something you see once in a while
Or maybe I’ve lost my mind

Maybe I’ll only see it once
I guess I’ll never know,
I’ll just remember the night I saw
A sign of hope, my midnight rainbow
