The Shoot

Day begins as the
Sun peeks in through the branches;
He quickly reloads.
Silence forces impatience
Waiting in welcome
Nature’s place in wonderment.
Alarm has scattered
The smell of an intruder.
If only they knew—
This shoot was not for the kill,
But for life, in a picture.
