For the sweetest man I never met.
STRANGER

Stranger,
You came into the dark tunnel of my life.
Turned up the chink of light,
Tempered the waves of pain,
With your warmth and words,
And I was soothed.

Stranger,
You saw my need for help and understanding.
Offered a shoulder for my tears,
Dried my eyes and made them smile,
With your patience and charm,
And I was calmed.

Stranger,
You heard my cry in the wilderness.
Listened when I was lost,
Filled my ears with soft, tender whispers,
Echoing gently in my mind,
And I was lifted.

Stranger,
You touched my life in a unique way.
Caressed my troubled heart and soul,
Smoothed the rough, raw edges,
With your gentle, healing hands,
And I was cleansed.

Stranger,
You restored my shattered faith and trust.
Repaired my damaged self esteem,
Planted a seed that blossoms,
With your humour and sincerity,
And I am grateful.

Stranger,
You are a special person in my life,
I know not who you are nor do I care,
Your name inscribed forever in my heart,
And there you will stay,
My sweet, sweet stranger.
