EPIC TRANSLATIONS OF THIS WORLD

He has spent his time here down by the river
The cold has crept up to no surprising arrival
And now as he sits and as he feels a shiver
He thinks back to better times wishing for a revival

Sisters and brothers have teased him far too long
He knows only a few friends who stay true
And he feels as though he will never truly belong
This one color to describe him is called blue

He wants a simple life like when he was younger
Or he wants a new life, one free of this hell
Anything really to feed this deprived hunger
Anything really to escape this tormenting cell

Moving from his seat to see the water better
He looks down and wishes he could drown
Then he thinks back to the blood stained letter
And now he only wears a deeper frown

How could anyone have been so cruel to him?
He thinks about all the torment he’s received
Then he glances over to his broken limb
How could he have been so easily deceived?

When does it stop hurting inside he asks?
What could be done to end all this pain?
Could I set out to do many great tasks?
Could I ever consider my self the least bit sane?
