Riddle or two

Okay here are two Harry Potter riddles (or may be more like questions), that the first person to answer correctly wins 1000 gift points. Here it goes
Riddle 1) Never flys, reads, Griffyndor, studious, helps her friends no matter what the consequence may be.

Riddle 2) Most people are edgy around him, especially if they are meeting him for the first time, soft hearted, loves any animal despite it's danger level, very tall and large.
