A short poem on love, and believing in it.
When You Lost Me

The wind was just too quick for us,
Tomorrow just too far.

The lion was too fierce for us,
Too hard to reach a star.

The water was just too cold for us,
The shadows were too dark.

Too late to say there's nothing left,
To give us something to start.

The days were just too long for us,
The nights were still too cold.

We wondered what awaited us,
And if our love would hold.

The dreams we had, impossible,
The memories yet to die.

The ocean was too rough for us,
And it will never lie.

The mysteries, enchanted us,
There was no deceiving.

But when you lost me to the wind,
Was when you stopped believing.
