An odd quest through the eyes of a child.
The End of Rain

I would like to find the end of rain,
Be it in Brooklyn, Zimbabwe or Spain,
Clouds and grey turn clear and blue,
Globs of water turn droplets of dew.

I would like to find the end of rain,
Need I travel by airplane, by tractor or train,
There’s a straight line in the sky that goes down to the ground,
One half bone dry, one half’s world is drowned.

I would like to find the end of rain,
Then I will never go looking again,
For that spot in the world where damp meets sunny,
I don’t care if you find my quest to be funny.

For I will not relent until I find success,
Be I wearing old cleats or my best Sunday dress,
Nothing is more fascinating to me,
Than that spot in the world where rain does finale.

I would like to find the end of rain,
Until it is done from it I won’t abstain,
And until that moment when I stand on the line,
One foot in water, one draped in sunshine,
My life never will be complete,
Not until I stand on it with my own two feet.
