A poem as I call it you decide for me
In my dreams I am taken away.
To a place of beauty and serenity.
Yet inside I feel the terror.
Of the horrors that await.

Standing on a winding path.
I see a house off in the distance.
As the sun fades into darkness.
An evil presence begins to surround me.

As the beauty of the place disappears.
Into the shadows of the night.
Serinity and calm are replaced.
With the rumblings of a coming storm.

With the storm now raging around me.
I race for the safety of the house.
The storm grows ever more violent by the minute.
So I run faster and faster.

Rumbling through the darkness of the house.
I see shadows all around me.
With a single light off in the distance.
My curiousity builds to an extreme.

With the fear of the unknown pushing me.
I guide each step with care.
Edging closer and closer to the doorway.
There are sounds coming from within.

Looking inside the lighted room.
To my suprise noone is there.
All I see are remnants of an altar.
As I wonder what had taken place.

With the storm now letting up outside.
I turn and start to go.
Walking through the doorway again.
A sharp pain hits my back.

Turning to see who did this.
There are only shadows on the wall.
Realizing it wasn't human at all.
Yet something dreadfully more sinister.

Taking my last breathes of life.
I suddenly awaken from in the dream.
A cold sweat covering my entire body.
My mind races to find what happened.

To this day I still wonder.
What that dream was trying to say.
Never get stuck in a rain storm.
Or curiousity killed the cat.
