A heart-broken love story... as it were.
She rose out of velvet dreams to a place where
Silence beheld her screams, and she wept.
Diamond salt tears only deepening
Her fears and despair's an emotion she can touch.

River reflection in the air; can you see better,
If you stare?
Valid question when the reality imagined exists
No more.

Violet freak, what do you seek?
A place of repose where no one knows residing
In your reality. Fake face, a beautiful place
Imagined real.

And as the dream crashes down around her, all
Things seem very real and very fragile at once.
That held most dear reduced to dust in her hand
Fear the talon grip about her throat.

Jewels were the thing she feared losing;
A beautiful jewel shining in her heart,
Strong, faithful--
Worthy.
